Committees

As a member of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, you are invited to participate in one or more of the following committees. Please contact the appropriate staff member if you are interested in joining.

Ambassador Committee

Ambassadors serve as a liaison between the Chamber and its members by contacting and surveying the membership to ensure the Chamber is meeting its members' needs. The ambassadors greet guests at our monthly Business After Hours and Coffee Connection networking events, as well as our New Member Receptions. They also assist with the task of delivering our Annual Membership Directory and Buyers' Guide. Contact Jo Anna Brune for more information.

Business Resource Council

The Small Business Committee is the primary support of the Small Business Department at the Chamber. This committee focuses on the services that educate, support, recognize and enhance the small business community in Delaware County. This committee also creates forums in order to generate ideas for the programs that are offered at the Chamber. To join this committee, contact Jack Kinsley ext. 108.

Government Affairs Council

Members of the Government Affairs Council are responsible for developing positions on policy issues that affect business in Delaware County. The council tracks the votes of the legislature on issues they examine in order to hold our political leaders accountable to the business community. To join this council, contact Trish McFarland.

Delaware County Young Professionals Committee

The Delaware County Young Professionals is the county's newest group for ambitious professionals who are in the early-stages of their careers and looking to start building those business leads. DCYP offers monthly informal networking gatherings and relevant educational seminars. This is a great opportunity to share business ideas and get opinions from other young professionals. Women In Business Network

WIBN is a group, consisting of professional businesswomen, designed to support the development of relationships and foster professional development, and provide networking opportunities through educational and cultural activities. For more information contact Kristen Kilman.

Ribbon Cutting Committee

Lisa Dort, Chairwoman, First Cornerstone Bank

The Ribbon Cutting Committee supports new business, business expansion, and growth or business anniversaries. Members do not meet regularly but actively seek opportunities to acknowledge fellow members for Ribbon Cuttings and the regularly participate in Ribbon Cutting celebration events.
