HEALTHCARE UPDATE

March 19, 2010

The President in a renewed effort to push healthcare reform, is advocating for the passage of the latest Senate bill in the House, which could act as early as this weekend. The majority of Americans don't support this legislation, which is why it is so troubling that proponents seem poised to do anything necessary, including a parliamentary trick, to push this ill-conceived legislation through Congress.
As you know from our previous advocacy, the Chamber has many concerns with this legislation centered around rationed health care, employer mandates, impact to the economy and affect on small businesses. In fact, the bill pending in Congress isn't real reform. It is a government takeover of health care that will mean more taxes, higher costs and a ballooning federal deficit - all of which would threaten job creators.
Please utilize this link to the US Chamber to learn more about these latest developments and information on how you can contact your federal representatives with your opinion on this legislation. Please feel free to also contact the Chamber with any questions or comments.
