Philadelphia Tax Amnesty: May 3-June 25

The Philadelphia Tax Amnesty program is a one-time, 54-day opportunity for individuals and businesses who owe back taxes to the City and School District to settle up with no penalties and only half the interest. The program runs from May 3, 2010 through June 25, 2010. Almost all City and School District of Philadelphia taxes are eligible, including Real Estate tax, Business Privilege tax, Wage tax, Net Profits tax and Liquor Sales tax.

It’s been almost 25 years since the last Philadelphia Tax Amnesty. For tax delinquents who miss this one, there will never be another. So now’s the time to act. Once the program is over, the City will be cracking down with swift legal action, additional penalties and interest, and possible seizure of property.

For a complete list of eligible taxes and information on how to participate, call 1-877-645-4108 or visit www.PhillyTaxAmnesty.com. Participants in the program can also visit the Philly Tax Amnesty Walk-in Site between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday-Friday, located in Center City Philadelphia, at 1315 Walnut Street, Suite 1300, where they can complete the Philadelphia Tax Amnesty application, make payments, and get assistance in filing Philadelphia tax returns.
